GET INVOLVED

The SGI-USA is a lay Buddhist organization. Our movement relies on the voluntary support of our members. There are many ways to get involved and support our community. Listed below are some available opportunities to get involved.

Introduction to Buddhism Meetings

"Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo" contains the very essence of the Buddha's lifetime of teachings. By chanting "Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo" and inspiring hope in others, we manifest the unlimited potential in our lives and become the starting point for a peaceful society.  To learn more about our Buddhist movement for peace and absolute happiness, please join us at any of our Intro to Buddhism meetings.

Kosen-Rufu Gongyo

Kosen-Rufu Gongyo is a monthly World Peace Prayer meeting. Throughout the country, SGI members gather at the local Buddhist Center to chant for World Peace, share experiences, and receive encouragement and updates. This meeting is open to all members and guests.

Monthly - First Sunday's at 10am

The pivotal meeting of SGI-USA is the neighborhood discussion meeting. It is at this gathering, usually monthly, where members and their guests come together to discuss a theme or topic relevant to everyone. It is the heart of the organization and key to the members growth.

As a representative of SGI-USA, the Reception & Safety Group Members are the first people members and guests encounter when entering the center. They embody the spirit of compassion and consideration, while supporting and protecting the members and center. To sign up for RSG, click the link below!
